fulltilt Full Tilt Birthday celebrations get underwayIt’s hard to believe but Full Tilt are celebrating their fifth birthday this week – somehow it seems as though they’ve been around so much longer than that!

Anyway, to celebrate their latest milestone Full Tilt will be running a number of different promotions starting on 9th July and running through to 19th July. Over $1,000,000 in additional prize money will be given away as well as extra Full Tilt points and huge bonuses for pro knockouts.

The Big 20k Freeroll

Birthday celebrations are really kicking off in style with the largest free roll tournament in Full Tilt poker history. A massive 20k Freeroll will be held on 9th July at 17.05ET. Places are guaranteed to fill up quickly, so if you’re around I’d suggest you sign up now!

5x Happy Hour:

Starting on July 14th, players will earn the loyalty points at five times the normal rate for a whole 55 hours (that’s pretty much five days in case you hadn’t guessed!)

Points can be earned at this advance rate by playing in any ring game, MTT or SnG that is marked with a yellow smiley emoticon in the software lobby. You can then spend them on a wide range of Full Tilt merchandise, or alternatively use them to buy into a Guaranteed 5k tournament which will be running every five hours. Predictably enough, entry into the tournament will cost 5 Full Tilt points.

Bust out a pro:

As we all know, Full Tilt is the home of the pros, which means they’ll be out in force throughout the birthday celebrations. If you manage to knock out one of the house hold names in any tournament or ring game then you’ll receive 5 times your buy-in as a reward.

Tournaments with Full Tilt pros in them will be highlighted in red in the Tournament Lobby, so keep your eye out for them. These 5X Bust-Out Bounties will be awarded from Tuesday, July 14th to Sunday, July 19th.

Birthday Money Sunday:

Just as things started off with a bang, so the birthday celebrations will end in style too. The guaranteed prize pool in the Big Money Sunday tournaments on 19th July has been increased by a huge $700,000. That means there will be over $2m up for grabs over a course of three different tournaments:

  • 14:00 ET: The Sunday Brawl – prize money has increased from $350K to $500K
  • 18:00 ET: $1,000,000 Guarantee has been given a proper birthday present with prize money up from $1 million to $1.5 million!
  • 19:05 ET: The tournament run ends with the Sunday Mulligan where the prize fund has grown to $250k

All in all it’s a hugely impressive schedule – there’s something for everyone and all of it involves a whole lot of cash, which is just how I like my tournaments!
