Upgraded Hollywood software is now Mac Compatible

hollywood Upgraded Hollywood software is now Mac CompatibleHollywood Poker have re-designed their poker software adding quite a few new pieces of functionality.

It’s been well received by the poker community in general and having played a fair bit on it last night, I have to say that I’m pretty impressed. It’s been a long time coming, but the wait seems to have been worth it.

Perhaps the best news of all is that the software is now Mac compatible which should mean even more traffic coming through Hollywood poker’s doors. That can only be good news for us who log in at all times of the day and night to find a decent game!

Aside from that, there are a number of other features that are worth a mention:

  • Game Preview
    • Browsing through active tables has become much easier
    • Preview the action at the table before deciding whether to join
    • Having decided to get involved, players can now join the table directly
  • New Tournament Lobby
    • Tournament information is now provided in real time
    • Prize structures, blind levels, ranking lists and re-buy details are now displayed much prominently
    • Table action can be previewed in real time
  • Resizable Tables
    • Tables can now re-sized meaning multi-tablers can play more games simultaneously
    • All the action is still displayed in sharp vector graphics
  • Detailed content panels
    • While you’re playing, it’s so much more easy to get information about your opponents and the structure of the tournament. All of it is displayed in a nice content panel which is easy to ready
    • Chat functionality has been improved too.
  • Personal Filters
    • Personal filters relating to your prefered games can be set and altered at any time
    • These filters can then be easily applied to ensure that you’re taken directly to those tables that you’re interested in playing at.
  • Much improved graphics and animations
    • The sharp graphics were always impressive, now they’ve been polished. The table and the players sat around it are all much clearer and sharper
    • Animation has been hugely improved too with the dealing of cards and the raking of chips being done in a really smooth manner.
