Review of Pokerstars
Pokerstars is the world’s largest online poker room with the most players and the biggest tournaments.
It is also home to some of the world’s most famous players such as Daniel Negreanu and WSOP champions Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer and Joe Hachem who can regularly be found playing on the site.
Software
The Pokerstars software is unlike any other poker client you’re likely to have used.
It has been privately developed and is one of the most stable and cutting edge pieces of software currently available in the online poker industry.
Graphics are clean, sharp and highly customisable where as the backend is equally as impresssive with hand data being available during play and the lobby displaying constantly up to date information relating to a particular table and the players who are currently sat around it.
Special features are constantly being added to the software, the latest being a hand replayer that allows players to go back to old hands without the need to leave the table they’re currently playing at.
In short, the Pokerstars software is arguably the best in the world and the Pokerstars team go to great lengths to ensure that it stays that way.

Pokerstars is know for the great variety of games that it offers to its members.

Bonus/Loyalty
The Pokerstars bonus is by no means the largest poker bonus available online.
It consists of a 100% Match Bonus (up to a maximum of $50). There are much larger bonuses out there, but none that are as easy to clear. New players will also gain exclusive entry into a First Deposit Freeroll worth up to $5,000. For more in-depth information relating to this particular bonus and how you clear it, check out our Pokerstars bonus page.
Regular players will earn ‘Player points’ every time they play in a real money ring game or tournament. The more points you earn, the more becomes available to you. Points can be used to buy into exclusive free rolls or satellite tournaments. Alternatively, you can spend them in the Pokerstars shop where you can buy everything from a poker book to a stunning Porsche Cayman S.
Tournaments
If you’re looking for well organised, high traffic tournaments with big prize pools, then look no further than Pokerstars. No matter what your bankroll or ability, you will be able to find something to suit your needs.
The flagship tournament is the famous “Sunday Million.” Despite its name, “The Million” has actually just had its guaranteed prize pool increased to $1.5m making it the largest poker tournament on the web and attracting over 11,000 players at peak times.
Outside of Guaranteed tournaments, Pokerstars also works hard to send its players to the largest live tournaments in the world. In fact 20% of the entrants into the 2006 WSOP had gained their seats through Pokerstars qualifiers
